The simple way to identifying the likely source of contamination

Differentiating between Gram positive and Gram negative organisms as the cause of contamination during primary isolation can help customers to identify the likely source of the contamination event. In response to market demand, Oculer developed a two tube differential assay that could not only detect contamination but identify whether the causative organisms were Gram positive or Gram negative.

The assay uses tried and tested stable compounds for the differential suppression of either Gram positive or Gram negative organisms resulting in a robust discriminatory assay.

How It Works

The Oculer Rapid 930 Series is a dual-function incubator/reader that, when combined with our bioengineered culture media and our precision oxygen depletion sensor forms a completely integrated package for food spoilage organisms.
